Taking
its cue from a Japanese variety show, Wow Wow World
is the first-ever English travel game show, loads of
fun and laughter as you watch artistes in their most
candid moments as they attempt to clear each stage of
the game in a foreign land.
Here¡¯s how it works
The two veteran show hosts, Jack Neo and May Phua,
will each lead one or two celebrity guests to compete
in a food quest in a foreign land.
At the start off point, both
teams will be given an English name of a local food
item to find. The teams will then go separate ways
to hunt for the first item. The task would only be
considered accomplished when one of the members eats
the food item found.
Once the first item is found, the team would have
to think of a name of another food item that begins
with the last alphabetical letter of the previous
food item, and find it.
After the second item is found, the teams will
then be given the name of the last food item they
have to find at the end of the day. Each team would
then have to link the food by means of the last
alphabetical letters in the most creative way.
The winning team is the one that reaches the end
point first.
But it¡¯s not
going to be that easy. The teams may be subjected to
¡®distractions¡¯- from taking up the challenge of doing
a death-defying bungee jump to just a spontaneous interaction
with a local. The teams may also get to ride on ubiquitous
vehicles peculiar to the country they are in as they
travel around from place to place. Be it an electric
tram in Hong Kong, or a scooter in Taipei, viewers get
to experience the sights and sounds of the countries
that we visit.
