Shen Wei Guang, a street-wise rogue, with little education has been implicated with countless illegal businesses. He was arrested for setting up an illegal gambling den in his home where he was cohabiting with Ah Lian.

Upon his release from the prison, Guang was planning to quit his gambling addiction and lead a more meaningful life with Lian. However, the incorrigible pair was unable to resist the evil temptation of their obsessive gambling habits and started to immersed in heavy betting again which driven them to choke up enormous debt with the loansharks.

Zhou Yu Hui (starred by Henry Thia), a hermit in his mid-thirties with a dark secret of being a habitual offender of break-ins, has been a regular of the prison. Hui’s senile mum was constantly worried about Hui’s well-being. Touched by his mum’s love and concern, Hui vowed to turn for the good.
