Director Michael Woo Boon started directing as early as 1979. Today, he is the assistant vice-president (AVP) of MediaCorp Studio’s Sitcom unit.
Director Woo joined MediaCorp (then known as SBC) back in 1984. Within three years, he was promoted to executive producer and doubled up as a director. In 1987, he took on the role of as production manager of the Sitcom unit. His directing talents and leadership quality well-recognised and very soon, he rose to the rank of AVP.
From 2000 to 2003, Director Woo spearheaded the Marketing and Distribution department to help promote and distribute Mediacorp’s programmes to overseas markets. His vast experience and multi-talents is indeed indisputable.
